CWAJ Cultural Program
Mary Cassatt Exhibition & Lunch
Please join us in viewing this exhibition showcasing the work of Mary Cassatt, a pioneer impressionist artist known for her paintings themed on the social and private lives of women, with a particular emphasis on the intimate bonds between mothers and children. The exhibition will display over 80 carefully selected works by the artist and includes paintings, prints, pastels and drawings spanning from her early life to much later in her career.
Such an exhibition is being held in Japan after 35 years! As a special offer for CWAJ members, the museum has offered discounted tickets and the curator of the museum will give a short talk explaining the artist’s life and work. This talk is subject to having at least 20 members that attend. After viewing the exhibition, you are welcome to network and discuss the exhibition with other members over lunch at the museum restaurant.
