14 CWAJ prints adorn Kawabata book covers!

Shincho Library has selected fourteen prints from the CWAJ Print Show to honor the 50th anniversary of Kawabata Yasunari’s death. Kawabata received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1968.

A special exhibition of the fourteen prints is planned for the 65th CWAJ Print Show, which is scheduled from October 19 to 23.

Outside Tokyo’s Otemachi Financial City complex 5 marble play sculptures undulate along the pavement, their natural lustre and elegant curves offering an oasis for relaxed conversation amidst the business high rises. Titled “Keys of Affinity,” the group of sculptures is one of countless installations created by Scottish artist Kate Thomson, which grace the public spaces of prestigious institutions, hotels, residences, corporate buildings and city streets throughout Japan.
