Cultural Programs  —————————————–

Cultural Program co-chairs will organize interesting cultural events for our members and guests. It can be an outing to a location with Japanese interests or an artistic (music, theater, film and the like) performance. If it is held in the morning, lunch is arranged at a nearby restaurant.

Monthly Luncheon  —————————————–

Luncheon coordinators will find an interesting speaker, who will enlighten our members, each month. They will supervise and moderate the luncheon.
Luncheon managers will send the information, received from the coordinators, to our members, look after attendance, and collect luncheon fees.

Print Show  —————————————–

There are many opportunities to volunteer for the Print Show and for the Young Print Maker Award. We need volunteers for the docent tours, wrapping and unwrapping of prints, print and product sales, catalogue production, to name a few. All members come together to ensure that the Print Show is a success.

Scholarship  —————————————–

Scholarship co-chairs will help the Scholarship Director in organizing meetings, and take care of the overall scholarship administrative tasks. Our members can be on the selection committee to pick the scholars for Study Abroad, Non-Japanese Graduates, and Visually Impaired scholars for the following year.

Education  —————————————–

Education is divided into two segments: Foreign Students Circle (FSC) and Volunteers for the Visually Impaired (VVI).
FSC co-chairs will organize interesting Japanese cultural and educational events for foreign students living in the Kanto area. It is aimed at helping foreign students gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and customs.
VVI co-chairs will organize activities in English for the visually impaired community. The aim is to encourage education, cross-cultural exchange and friendship.

Public Relations  —————————————–

Public Relations co-chairs will find opportunities to promote CWAJ and its activities to society.

Development  —————————————–

Development co-chairs will seek donors, who support our mission to provide scholarships to nurture future leaders, by organizing fund raising events.

Membership Activities  —————————————–

There are many areas to volunteer in this section. We have Special Interest Groups, that fosters friendship among the members, and information meetings to introduce CWAJ to new prospective members. Special Interest Groups include a craft-making group, French and Japanese conversation, hiking, a reading group, and a singing group.

Communication  —————————————–

The communication team consists of webmasters and monthly newsletter editors to maintain media networks and help members communicate online.
