About the Workshop – In this workshop led by renowned Japanese artist Yuasa Katsutoshi, participants will discover how to create patterns by imprinting designs, prepared by the artist, into washi (Japanese paper).  The fascinating technique of embossing, which uses no ink, highlights the tactile quality of the paper and the relief character of mokuhanga (traditional Japanese woodcut). This workshop is designed to be a welcoming space for everyone. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate, regardless of experience or background.
