Volunteers Urgently Needed for Scholarship
The CWAJ scholarship year is in full swing as Selection Committees are working on choosing our 2025 Scholars. Scholars will be presented at the May Scholarship General Meeting which is being held at FCCJ on Wednesday, May 28. Please save the date.
First, we have the important Interview stage. We are urgently looking for volunteers in the following positions: Hostess (greet applicants while they wait to be interviewed), Tech Support (help with smooth running of Zoom), and Interpreter.
Interviews are being held on March 1 (NJG), March 8 (SVI), and March 9 (SA). Time commitment is 4 to 5 hours on the day plus a practice “Mock Interview”. Please email scholarshipcommittee@cwaj.org if you can help with one of these essential roles.

February Scholarship General Meeting Thursday, February 20, 10:00 to 12:00 (hybrid at the CWAJ Center)
Have lunch and chat with your friends after the February Scholarship General meeting.
At the December 5 Scholarship General Meeting, Gwen, Suz and new member Sanae enjoyed the festive spirit of the season.

Scholarship General Meetings are where policies relating to scholarships are discussed and decisions are made. In January and February, amongst other items, we will discuss the Scholarship Allocation for 2026. We hope that new members will attend to learn more about the Scholarship Committee.
No special knowledge or background is necessary. The more members who attend these meetings, the better everyone will understand the core mission of CWAJ, and how we spend the money for which we all work so hard to earn.
