Membership Renewal
As we approach the beginning of the membership year, all members should have received a reminder email to renew their membership for 2025-2026, with instructions on how to do so. As of August 6, we have 152 members who have already renewed, with nearly 70 percent using the new Stripe payments. Thank you!
For members who have not yet renewed, if you have any questions about the process, please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know. The deadline for renewal is September 15, 2025.
New Members
We happily welcomed eight new members: Jamisen Critchley (USA), Yuri Hanya (Japan), Keiko Hori (Japan), Kimberly Grenade Kudo (USA), Christina Lopp (USA), Sumika Saito (Japan), Akiko Tohmatsu (Japan), and Vanessa Tschentke (Germany) to CWAJ in May and June.
Membership Inquiries
In June, we hosted our sixth Information Meeting of the year, and have received 12 inquiries for Membership since our last report, three for Junior Membership. One became interested after seeing the Print Show at Highfield, in the United States. A few were ineligible for membership, an inquiry from abroad, and someone who has also applied for a CWAJ Scholarship. Five of the inquiries have signed up for our August Information Meeting. We will follow up with a reminder closer to the date.
Our next Information Meeting is scheduled for August 28.

A huge thank you to former Membership Co-Chair Lorraine Graybill for going above and beyond in continuing to field inquiries and give assistance and advice, despite moving back to the United States and resettling in her life there. Lorraine will continue to be on the Membership team as an Information Meeting Coordinator after Jane Baker. Jane has also left Japan in June for her next assignment in the United States. We thank her for her many contributions to the Membership Team and wish Jane well in her new assignment!
