We are excited to announce the creation of Friends of The College Women’s Association of Japan, a US-based non-profit corporation [501(c)(3)] to accept tax free donations in support of CWAJ and its mission
As of mid-July, Friends of CWAJ has been receiving tax-deductible donations from US donors, and the Board of Directors is working on reaching more potential donors to achieve the organization’s mission.
- All donations to Friends of CWAJ are deductible on US Federal taxes subject to your tax situation (both personal and corporate)
- If your employer provides company matching of charitable donations, the impact of the donation may be doubled
- US taxpayers who are required to take Minimum Required Distributions (MRD) from their IRAs or 401(k)s, can make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD’s) which count toward the mandated MRD amount, without paying income tax. Qualified charitable distributions allow eligible IRA owners up to $100,000 in tax-free gifts to charity | Internal Revenue Service
