Guest Speaker: Ririna Kaneko / 2017 SVI-SJ Scholar
Summary: In this 50th anniversary year of CWAJ’s continuous support for people with vision impairment, it is meaningful for both SVI scholars and CWAJ members to understand what awaits people with disabilities once they enter society. At the same time, it is also meaningful for non-disabled people to be aware of the privileges they have, by knowing what kinds of difficulties the disabled face in their lives.
Ririna graduated in 2019 from Sophia University Faculty of Liberal Arts and is now working for Apple Japan, Inc. She is a distinguished Toastmaster, a TEDx speaker and received Merit distinction on the Vocational Graded Examinations (Intermediate) at the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in the UK. Ririna was part of the Japanese Delegation and Executive Committee member of the Japan-America Student Conference.
