The 69th CWAJ Print Show will feature over 200 contemporary prints by established and emerging artists. This prestigious juried exhibition and sale offers a wide range of styles, from traditional to abstract to pop, as well as a variety of mediums including woodcut, etching, engraving, lithography, collagraph, silkscreen and digital print.
From classic woodblock prints to cutting-edge contemporary art, the CWAJ Print Show is a unique opportunity to explore and purchase a wide range of stunning prints all in one place.
In addition to prints, visitors can purchase pocket diaries, greeting cards, and catalogues on-site. Online orders will also be available from our website in September.
Net proceeds from the Print Show support CWAJ’s scholarship and education programs. Take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy and own exceptional art, while contributing to a worthy cause.
CWAJ Young Printmaker Award
CWAJ supports young artists through the annual Young Printmaker Award, now in its 22nd year. This exhibition features new work by this year’s Young Printmaker Award winner, as well as the 2023 recipient.

Yoo Koo Soo to Yokoo Tadanori’s HANGA Universe
Yokoo Tadanori, one of Japan’s most celebrated contemporary artists, has redefined the landscape of modern art continually since the 1960s. This special show presents 38 carefully selected prints from across his remarkable career, 35 of which are for sale, displayed at two venues.

Free 30-minunte English guided tours run daily at 14:00 from October 14 to 18. Other times, please ask for a tour. Guides are generally available.
The 2026 CWAJ Guided Tour features 15 stunning prints from the 69th CWAJ Print Show. They vary in style and technique, but each print tells a unique story of how an idea comes to life, reflecting the artist’s passion for printmaking. Our experienced guides will help you explore the fascinating world of contemporary prints.

Hands-on Art
The Hands-on Art Program (HOA) is a unique program that enables people with visual impairments to enjoy art at the Print Show. The program was first introduced in 1996 and has continued to this day. This year, with the artists’ permission, four prints were chosen to make raised images from. The coordinators consulted experts at the Japan Braille Library to identify prints suitable for transformation into 3D versions, using a method known as stereo copying.
Participants interested in attending can sign up with our Volunteers for the Visually Impaired (VVI) group for a guided session. We hope to have many participants join our program. The HOA table is open daily to drop-in visitors, welcoming both individuals with visual impairments and anyone interested in the program who wishes to explore the raised prints through touch.
Gallery Talks
Gallery talks and workshops are planned at the Daikanyama venue during the exhibition. Details will be announced on this page as soon as they are arranged.
