Scholarship

Scholarship is the vibrant core mission of CWAJ. In 1949, the founding members were inspired to enable Japanese students to accept their offers to study abroad. The first 9 Travel Grants were awarded in 1951. The effort to support scholars evolved and was expanded, and in 1972 was renamed the Scholarship Program. The CWAJ Scholarship Program reflects deep commitment to nurturing leadership, and to supporting and enriching both the local and global community. Our current and past scholars are leaders and innovators in a variety of fields including government, international relief, the arts, and academia.

Your donations to CWAJ, and support of our Print Show and other Cultural Programs enable CWAJ to continue the Scholarship Program.
