Exhibition by a former Scholar in Washington D.C.

CWAJ loves to share exciting news about our scholars. One of the CWAJ alumni scholars, Kit Brooks, Assistant Curator at Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, has curated a very special exhibition, ”Ay-Ō’s Happy Rainbow Hell.” Dr. Brooks specializes in prints and paintings of the Edo and Meiji periods.

The exhibition will open on March 25 at the Smithsonian’s Arthur Sackler Gallery in Washington D.C. and will run until September 10.

Ay-Ō, a world-renowned contemporary artist, has exhibited in many CWAJ Print Shows. His silkscreen prints will be exhibited for sale in the 66th CWAJ Print Show held from October 18 to 22 2022 at Hillside Forum in Tokyo.
